Volunteer Month 2026

This May, Council is celebrating volunteers through a Volunteer Month “Spotlight and Support” campaign, aligned with National Volunteer Week (18–24 May). The campaign will highlight local organisations, recognise the contribution of volunteers, and promote opportunities for more people to get involved.

We’re inviting community groups to take part by sharing:

  • what volunteering looks like in your organisation
  • the volunteer roles you need
  • how people can get involved and join your organisation.

Complete the form below to be featured and help us promote your organisation and volunteer opportunities throughout May.

  • What is aim of Volunteer Month?

To support local volunteer organisations by:

    • Publicly acknowledging the contribution of volunteers
    • Raising awareness of what volunteers groups do
    • Promoting specific volunteer roles currently needed
    • Encouraging new community members to get involved
  • How will it work?

Council will use this information to create a promotional campaign highlighting local organisations, their volunteers, and available opportunities across our communication channels.
