Volunteer Month 2026
This May, Council is celebrating volunteers through a Volunteer Month “Spotlight and Support” campaign, aligned with National Volunteer Week (18–24 May). The campaign will highlight local groups, recognise the contribution of volunteers, and promote opportunities for more people to get involved.

Council has collated information from registered groups to create a promotional campaign highlighting local organisations, their volunteers, and available opportunities across our communication channels.
Local groups have registered to be part of this campaign, sharing the volunteer roles they need to fill and the impact they make in our community.

Whether you can spare an hour, want to try something new, or are ready to make a longer-term commitment, there’s a volunteer opportunity waiting for you.
Assist with set up and remove of poppies for the annual ANZAC and Remembrance days displays.
Various roles available to assist with the successful delivery of the 10-day festival.
A friendly community walking group, part of the Heart Foundation Walking program, seeking volunteer leaders to help guide walks.
A volunteer-run museum preserving local history, offering hands-on roles in restoration, tours, gardening and more.
Supporting girls aged 5+ to build confidence, leadership skills and a strong sense of community.
Help care for one of our community’s special natural spaces.
A welcoming playgroup where children and caregivers connect, play and build friendships each week.
Help maintain and operate the historic paddle steamer PS Industry.
A vibrant, community-run club offering inclusive netball opportunities while bringing players, families and volunteers together.
A volunteer-run charity supporting Renmark Paringa District Hospital through local fundraising that helps improve comfort and care for patients and aged care residents.
