Ramble Arts (formerly RYT) enriches the lives of young people across the South Australian Riverland and Mallee through creativity, theatre and play. The organisation creates arts experiences with and for the community, empowering children and young people as artists, storytellers, makers and learners.
Ramble Arts delivers creative programs, community arts projects, professional development opportunities for teachers and artists, and safe, welcoming spaces where young people can build confidence, connection and self-expression.
The organisation’s volunteer board plays an important role in guiding and supporting Ramble Arts, helping ensure the organisation remains financially sustainable, community-focused and aligned with its values and long-term vision.
What roles are available?
Ramble Arts is currently seeking volunteers to join its board, including a new Chair as well as general board member roles.
Board volunteers help provide governance, strategic direction and oversight for the organisation. Rather than managing day-to-day operations, board members focus on supporting the long-term success and sustainability of Ramble Arts and the programs it delivers for young people and the wider community.
Volunteer responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the strategic direction and future vision of the organisation
- Providing governance and oversight for a not-for-profit arts organisation
- Supporting the Artistic Director and leadership team
- Assisting with financial sustainability and organisational planning
- Reviewing policies and contributing expertise in areas such as governance, HR, fundraising or sponsorship
- Attending board meetings and contributing to discussions and decision-making
Time commitment
Board members contribute an average of around four hours per month, including meeting preparation, attendance and additional communications or policy review.
Additional commitment may apply for executive positions such as Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer or Secretary.
How to get involved?
Volunteers joining the Ramble Arts board will receive an induction pack, opportunities to meet with current board members and staff, and ongoing support to help them settle into the role.
Ramble Arts encourages passionate community members who want to support young people, creativity and the arts in the Riverland to get involved. Express your interest by emailing hello@ramblearts.org.au or board@ramblearts.org.au
