The Renmark Paringa District Hospital Ladies Auxiliary Inc. is a registered charity run entirely by volunteers, raising funds to support aged care residents and acute care patients at the Renmark Paringa District Hospital.
Through fundraising activities and community support, the Auxiliary has helped fund important comfort items and projects including furnishings for aged care, equipment purchases, and support for palliative care rooms.
Their work helps improve the experience of patients, residents and families across the local hospital community.
What roles are available?
The Auxiliary is currently seeking “Friends of the Renmark Paringa District Hospital Ladies Auxiliary” — community members who can assist with fundraising activities and support events throughout the year.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Helping at fundraising stalls
- Selling raffle tickets
- Assisting with sausage sizzles at local venues
- Supporting bingo fundraising events
- Baking goods or making preserves for stalls
- Crafting items such as quilts, cushions, toys or handmade goods for raffles and fundraising
- Donating raffle prizes
- Promoting the Auxiliary through family, friends and the wider community
- Assisting with social media or IT support, including helping establish a Facebook presence
- Attending fundraising events and encouraging others to get involved
Time commitment
All roles are flexible, and volunteers can choose how much time they would like to contribute.
There are approximately four raffles a year, one bingo fundraiser, two sausage sizzles, and a number of stalls.
Committee members provide guidance and support for all activities.
How to get involved?
The Auxiliary welcomes anyone over 18 who would like to support their local hospital — particularly men and women interested in helping with fundraising activities without the commitment of attending meetings.
To express interest or learn more, contact Renmark Paringa District Hospital during office hours on 08 8580 4100 (Monday to Friday, 8.30am–4.30pm). Leave your name and contact number, and a committee member will get in touch.
Volunteers will receive guidance for their chosen role and ongoing support from committee members. Joining as a “Friend of the Auxiliary” is a great way to meet new people, support the local community, and make a meaningful difference for hospital patients and aged care residents.
