About the Renmark Poppy Displays
Sherrie and her group of volunteers deliver annual poppy displays for Anzac Day and Remembrance Day, creating meaningful visual tributes that honour and remember those who have served. Volunteers play a key role in bringing these displays to life, helping to create a strong sense of community and reflection.
What roles are available?
Volunteers assist with setting up and removing around 40,000 poppies across various locations and display styles.
- The group is also seeking someone willing to take on the coordination and storage of the poppies, with support from the current organiser who will continue to assist with repairs and guidance.
- Set up and removal of poppies - The commitment is relatively small, with volunteers contributing approximately 2 hours per session—totalling about 8 hours per year.
No formal training is required, and volunteers are supported in a supervised, friendly environment that fosters strong camaraderie.
How to get involved?
Those interested in getting involved or learning more are encouraged to make contact directly with the organiser to express their interest and find out how they can contribute.
