About the Group

Renmark Girl Guides is part of Girl Guides South Australia, supporting girls aged 5–15 to build confidence, leadership skills and a strong sense of community. Through a fun and engaging program of outdoor adventures, creative activities, challenges and community involvement, the group helps young people grow into capable and confident individuals.

Volunteers play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive environment where girls can learn, connect and thrive.

What roles are avaliable?

There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available, from regular leadership roles to more flexible, occasional support. Volunteers may assist with running weekly sessions, leading games and activities, supporting outdoor experiences like camping and cooking, and helping girls achieve badges and challenges. Other roles include assisting at events, sharing specific skills, or helping maintain the grounds and hall.

Weekly sessions typically run for 1.5–2 hours, with additional optional involvement in camps, events or working bees. Volunteers can choose a level of commitment that suits their availability.

How to get involved?

Volunteers are supported with training, resources and guidance from experienced leaders, and become part of a welcoming and supportive team.

No prior experience is needed—just a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved. Those interested are encouraged to come along, try a session and see firsthand the impact they can have in helping shape the next generation of confident young women.
