The roads surrounding the Renmark Shopping Centre - Industry Road, Nineteenth Street, Twentieth Street, and Para Street - are experiencing significant deterioration, including potholes, extensive cracking, and surface deformation. While these roads service the shopping precinct, they are also critical for access to surrounding businesses and residential properties, carrying high traffic volumes including heavy vehicles.
The pavement condition has declined to a point where ongoing maintenance is no longer viable, and full pavement stabilisation is required to restore structural integrity and ensure the network remains safe, reliable, and fit for purpose.
Works are scheduled to commence in May 2026 and will be delivered in stages to help manage impacts. While some temporary disruptions to traffic flow and access may occur, every effort will be made to minimise inconvenience and maintain access to businesses and properties throughout construction. Importantly, the Renmark Shopping Centre customer and staff car park will remain open and accessible for the duration of the works.
This timing has been selected to maximise construction efficiency and avoid peak holiday periods. Residents and nearby businesses will be notified in advance, and regular updates will be provided to keep the community informed as the project progresses.
