To ensure the playground continues to meet the needs of local families, Renmark Paringa Council is planning an upgrade -and we want your input.
What’s happening at Jarrett Memorial Gardens?
We're planning to replace the existing playground in the Jarrett Memorial Gardens during the 2026/27 financial year.
The new playground will be a 'like for like' replacement - meaning it will remain within the same footprint and size, but will feature modern, updated play equipment. While the overall layout won’t expand under the current scope, the new design may include exciting new elements, a refreshed look, or a themed play experience - while maintaining the same play value for children and families.
As part of the upgrade, accessibility and inclusivity will be key priorities. We want to create a space that is welcoming, safe, and usable for people of all ages and abilities.
The Renmark Lions Club’s existing shelter and barbecue area will be retained and integrated into the design, continuing to support family outings, community events, and social gatherings.
Have your say
We’re now seeking ideas and feedback from the community to help guide the design of the new playground. Tell us what you value in a play space - how your family plays, what features matter most, and what makes a playground inviting and enjoyable.
Your feedback, ideas, and aspirations are also important in helping Council plan for the future. If additional funding is identified, your input will help guide how we might expand or enhance the project beyond its current scope.
Community feedback will help shape the final plans before construction begins in the 2026–27 financial year.
Consultation will run until 5pm on Tuesday October 21.
