Progress at Customs House ramping up

31 October 2025

Works are moving ahead on the Customs House Boat Ramp Upgrade Project, with piles now being installed for the new pontoon and the ramp area taking shape under the new, improved design.

Contractors are preparing the ramp and riverbed for concreting, and the upgraded layout will feature better alignment and width to make river access safer and more efficient for all users.

Delivered in partnership with the Department for Environment and Water through the Sustaining Riverland Environments Program, and constructed by local business Alvanos Earthmoving, the project is an important investment in safe, accessible river infrastructure.

The upgrade is fully grant funded, with completion expected by 2026.
